The tower and the tropical garden The Tower and Tropical Garden

Maesfron Hall is a Georgian house built in Italian villa style set in four acres of South facing gardens on the lower slopes of Moel-y-Golfa with panoramic views of The Long Mountain. There are terraces, a walled Kitchen Garden and a Tropical Garden. The gardens also offer woodland and parkland walks with a wide variety of trees. In the grounds are the restored Victorian conservatories, a Folly Tower and a Shell Grotto.     There are a range of interesting outbuildings, including the old kitchens with the newly restored Housekeeper’s Room above. In the main building apart from spacious Georgian reception rooms, there are interesting vaulted wine cellars. Current work in the gardens involves clearing and restoring the Hanging Gardens down the rock face below the tower.
